The sun came out, the tide went out, the visitors appeared and hit the beaches. Kids, armed with buckets and spades, were seen all along this stretch of the beach, looking for something interesting. The grown-ups were interested, too, rolling their trouser legs up and taking off their shoes and socks. Allowing their feet to sink into the cold, wet, soft-hard sand.
