Day 286
04 March 2010
This man was standing at the edge of the surf, waiting for the waves to come up to his boots. He waited for the water to subside, and then used some seaweed to clean around the edges of the boots, before heading back to the water for a rinse-off. I have no idea why he was doing this. Anybody?
I love watching the waves around by the quay and the Mowlem. When the waves hit the wall, they fall backwards into the middle where they meet the next wave coming in. The result looks like the effect of stirring your hand around in a soapy washing-up bowl. It also reminds me of the power of the sea, and how awesome it is to stand on the corner by the parade and feel the breeze, and hear the mighty roar.
And then retreat to the warmth for a cuppa!
