Chocolate sand Cake and Fish and Chips (with a little whine on the side)

We went to the lobster pot today and had a lovely afternoon playing catch with our food and drinks as the wind decided to play the game with us and the rest of the beach. It was a challenge, and especially upsetting when some chocolate and beetroot cake (trust me it tastes delicious) dived off the table and rolled around in the sand for a bit. I was truamatised but got over it quickly, as a replacement arrived moments later.

Later Dan took the kids off to play on the bouncy castle, rides and playground, then we had tea at the bandstand, where I took these photos.

Soon it was time to head home, where my daughter got very upset due to being tired out from all the fun and excitement, and what started as a little whine took hold into meltdown. Ahhh, parenting!
